Kangana Ranaut received the Padma Shri award in New Delhi on Monday. The actor was among a long list of celebrities that received the highest civilian award at the occasion, including musician Adnan Sami, filmmaker Karan Johar, and Ekta Kapoor. Kangana chose a saree from Sabyasachi Mukerjee, her go-to designer, for the occasion, and she looked stunning in it. Her admirers were of the same mind.

Kangana Ranaut wore a golden and beige saree with striking gems by acclaimed designer Sabyasachi Mukherjee to accept the Padma Shri Award.
The designer shared photographs of the Thalaivi actor wearing his intricately created drape on Instagram. The photos went viral almost immediately, drawing acclaim from Kangana’s followers, who described the fashion moment as weird and lovely.
Kangana’s golden and beige saree is covered with brocade flower designs all over the drape and is ornamented with gold embroidered patti borders. The six yards were paired with a dark brown half-sleeved blouse with a large golden patta, backless design, and round neckline. The golden patta is embellished with zari embroidery and tiny mirror work.
She kept her accessories simple and chic, opting for large dangling earrings and a little bindi, letting the saree to take centre stage. She wore her lovely tresses in center-parted dual braided buns, and she went for a glossy nude lip, glowing complexion, mascara-adorned lashes, flushed skin, and filled-in eyebrows for glam.
On her Instagram page, Kangana also posted a snapshot of herself getting the Padma Shri Award from President Ram Nath Kovind while wearing the saree. The performer expressed her gratitude for the honour by writing down her thoughts on the occasion.
