Laal Singh Chaddha, Amir Khan’s forthcoming feature, is one of the most anticipated films of the year! However, the picture has been repeatedly postponed due to a variety of factors. It was recently announced that Aamir’s film will finally be released on April 12, 2022, but there’s a catch! According to reports, the picture will collide with KFG 2, another highly awaited sequel. When asked about the whole situation of his picture being delayed and colliding with another highly anticipated feature, ‘Dhoom 3’ was sincerely regretful about the whole ordeal.
During an interview with trade analyst Komal Nahta, Aamir Khan explained why he dislikes picking a release date for a film that has already been decided by a filmmaker. He said, “I hate to give the impression that I am trespassing on someone else’s territory, but since I am playing a Sikh for the first time in my career, the Baisakhi day (14th April) seemed to be the most appropriate for the release of Laal Singh Chaddha.”
During the same meeting, Aamir Khan expressed his regret that his film Laal Singh Chaddha clashed with Prashanth Neel’s directorial debut, KGF 2, which also stars Yash. The actor further revealed that he wrote a letter to the producer, director, and lead actor of KGF 2 apologising for the situation (lockdown and Baisakhi festival) that led him and his team to chose the same date as them. “They understood my viewpoint and were good enough to ask me to go ahead in spite of their film releasing on the same day. I was very touched by their gesture” , Aamir remarked of the KGF team’s response.
