KRK’s shocking claim: “Ranveer Singh’s Father Paid 20 Crores To YRF To Launch Him”

In Band Baaja Baaraat, Ranveer Singh makes his big Bollywood debut opposite Anushka Sharma.

Time and time again, the self-proclaimed critic has an interesting revelation to offer. He’s engaged in legal wrangling with Salman Khan over a defamation claim, but he appears to be unaffected. In his most recent video, Kamaal R Khan makes some incredible allegations concerning actor Ranveer Singh’s upcoming debut. Ranveer Singh made his major Bollywood breakthrough in Band Baaja Baaraat, opposite Anushka Sharma. He got the Filmfare Award for Best Male Debut for his portrayal of Bittoo Sharma. YRF, Aditya Chopra’s production company, backed the film. KRK, on the other hand, says that YRF did not introduce Ranveer Singh. Instead, his father, Jagjit Singh Bhavnani, paid Aditya Chopra’s firm a whopping sum of 20 crores to launch his son. Yes, you read that correctly.

KRK was talking about Rani Mukerji and Saif Ali Khan’s film Bunty Aur Babli 2 when he remarked Aditya Chopra’s debutants are all super flops. He continued,

“Bohot saare log ye bhi kehte hai ki Adi ne toh Ranveer Singh ko bhi launch kia tha, wo toh bohot bada star hai. Ji nahi, actually Ranveer Adi ke through launch hua tha. Ranveer ke baap ne 20 crore Rs diye the, tab YRF ne usko launch kia tha. (A lot of people say Adi also launched Ranveer and he’s a huge star today. But not, his father paid a massive sum of 20 crores and only then Yash Raj Films launched him)”.

Bunty Aur Babli 2 was also slammed by KRK. He described it as a story that wasn’t good enough to be turned into a movie. It is being said that people are now much pickier about what they watch in theatres. Unless complete normalcy returns, this situation will persist for some time. Thankfully, Ranveer Singh’s 83 may be the film to follow Sooryavanshi in terms of critical acclaim. The first is that the movie will be a memorable big-screen experience, with many of the cast members claiming that it will be a memorable watch.

83, like Sooryavanshi, has been waiting for a long time for a release. OTT behemoths have reportedly offered hefty deals, but the creators are so confident in their product that they have turned them all down.
