Virgil Abloh’s death being mourned by Karan Johar, Priyanka Chopra, and other Bollywood celebs

Following a lonely battle with cancer, Virgil Abloh, designer and creative director for Louis Vuitton and Off-White, died at the age of 41. His passing was lamented by Priyanka Chopra, Sonam Kapoor, Gigi Hadid, and others.

Virgil Abloh, the artistic director of Louis Vuitton menswear and the inventor of the fashion line Off-White, died too soon. The fashion industry and the world’s top celebrities are mourning his untimely passing. Following a private multi-year struggle with cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare form of cancer, the creative legend died on Sunday afternoon. The terrible news was released by LVMH and Virgil Abloh’s official page.

 

Virgil Abloh was one of the first African-American designers to lead a European luxury business, and he left an indelible influence on the industry. He changed not only what people wanted to wear by crossing the gap between streetwear and luxury, but also what brands sought in a designer. After his death was announced, tributes began to stream in. Gigi Hadid, Priyanka Chopra, Hailey Bieber, Kendall Jenner, David Beckham, Pierpaolo Piccioli of Valentino, and others lamented the death of the iconic designer and creative director.

 

The Bollywood film business and the fashion world are mourning the death of Virgil Abloh, the creative director of Virgil Abloh, who died after a battle with cardiac angiosarcoma, a rare and severe form of cancer. Karan Johar, Malaika Arora, and other Bollywood celebrities have paid tribute to her. Karan Johar posted a snapshot of the designer to his Instagram account, writing, “This is just heartbreaking! RIP! What an immensely talented fashion force! He will be sorely missed” .

 

Anand Ahuja also wrote about one of his favourite memories with the designer, saying, “HUJA” #VirgilWasHere. Sonam Kapoor shared a picture of Virgil in which she wrote, “This is so sad. I feel for his family.. So young and dynamic. Rest in Peace” as she shared a photo of Virgil. “Gone Too Soon,” Priyanka Chopra wrote in the meanwhile. Malaika Arora, who shared a photo of the designer, also showed her sadness by using a devastated emoji.

 

Gigi Hadid expressed her grief on Instagram, writing that she had been “heartbroken” by the “by the death of my dear friend.” She commented in the poignant article about his kindness and energetic giving, saying,”His kindness and energetic generosity left a lasting impression on every life he touched— he made everyone feel seen and special. He will be deeply missed, cherished, and celebrated by.”
