Simu Liu, who starred in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, quipped that he’s a little angry that Marvel fans aren’t talking about his involvement in Spider-Man: No Way Home.

Simu Liu, who made his Marvel Cinematic Universe debut with Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings earlier this year, took to Twitter to express his dismay that his inclusion in Spider-Man: No Way Home was not being speculated about.

Tom Holland plays the lead in the next Marvel superhero picture. Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are slated to star in the film as Spider-Men from different realities, according to rumours. Simu Liu remarked that no one is speculating on his presence as Spider-Man in No Way Home, despite the fact that he has been Spider-Man at multiple birthday parties in the past. “Having played the role of Spider-Man at birthday parties in and around the Greater Toronto Area, I’m a little offended that nobody thought I was going to be in No Way Home,” he tweeted. “There’s definitely a pocket universe somewhere, that’s all I’m saying,” he added.

Although not in an MCU film, a fan suggested that Shang-Chi play Spider-Man in a What If episode. “What if Shang chi became the Spider Man instead of earning the ten rings’ power?” pondered the enthusiast.

If not as Spider-Man, Marvel fans are hopeful that Simu Liu’s Shang-Chi meets up with Spider-Man in future MCU films, as portrayed in the comics.Simu stated during his Saturday Night Live debut monologue that he used to work part-time as Spider-Man at children’s birthday parties a decade ago. He said while recalling, “I really can’t believe my life right now because ten years ago, I actually had a job dressing up as Spider-Man for kids’ birthday parties which meant parents would pay me to entertain their kids while they were day-drinking. I’ll never forget this one birthday boy’s name. It was Trevor and I don’t want to say anything bad about him but let’s just say he was a real Trevor”.
