After turning down a film opportunity, Ayushmann Khurrana was warned by a director that he was not a bankable actor.
Ayushmann Khurrana followed up his auspicious debut with Vicky Donor with three straight flops: Nautanki Saala, Bewakoofiyaan, and Hawaizaada. He claimed in an interview that a filmmaker warned him around this time that he doesn’t sell.”One of the filmmakers informed me. ‘Ayushmann, you don’t sell, why are you saying no to this picture?’ I was informed after declining a film. “It was like he was doing me a favour by offering me the film,” he explained to RJ Siddharth Kannan.
Ayushmann returned with the release of Dum Laga Ke Haisha. He, on the other hand, took his time choosing his next assignment. “I didn’t have a release for two years after Dum Laga Ke Haisha because I waited two years after Dum Laga Ke Haisha.” “All I had to do was wait for the proper film,” he explained.
For his portrayal in Andhadhun, Ayushmann got the National Award for Best Actor in 2019. Vicky Kaushal, who was honoured for Uri: The Surgical Strike, shared the trophy with him.Ayushmann is currently awaiting the release of Abhishek Kapoor’s Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui.
