Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu has been congratulated by Kangana Ranaut. After a 21-year wait, the latter brought the throne to India.

Kangana Ranaut complimented Harnaaz Sandhu on bringing the prestigious Miss Universe crown back to India after a 21-year absence. Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta had previously won the Miss Universe competition in 1994 and 2000, respectively. “What great news…,” Kangana captioned a photo of Harnaaz’s triumph moment on her Instagram Stories. @harnaazsandhu 0, congratulations.”

Harnaaz Sandhu, an actor and model, was elected Miss Universe 2021 on Monday, defeating contestants from 80 nations and bringing India its first Miss Universe title in 21 years. Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta are the only two Indians to have won Miss Universe before Sandhu. The 21-year-old won the coveted championship at the 70th edition of the competition, which was held in Eilat, Israel.

Andrea Meza of Mexico, who won the contest in 2020, crowned the Chandigarh-based model, who is completing a master’s degree in public administration. Nadia Ferreira, 22, of Paraguay, came in second, and Lalela Mswane, 24, of South Africa, came in third.

“I am eternally grateful to the Almighty, my parents, and the Miss India Organization for their guidance and support.” “Many thanks to everyone who prayed for me and longed for the crown,” Harnaaz added. “Returning the magnificent crown to India after 21 years is a source of immense pride,” she continued. Harnaaz was asked during the last round of questions and answers what advice she would provide to young women on how to deal with the challenges they experience today.

“The most significant strain on today’s young is to believe in themselves, to understand that they are unique, and that this is what makes them attractive. Stop comparing yourself to others and instead focus on the more pressing issues that are affecting the planet. This is what you must comprehend. Come out and stand up for yourself because you are the boss of your own life and the voice of your own people. I had faith in myself, which is why I am standing here now “To thunderous applause, she said.
