The cast of Spider-Man: No Way Home, which includes Tom Holland and Zendaya, is presently preparing for the film’s release. The film will be released on December 16 in India and December 17 in the United States.

Tom Holland and Zendaya, who play Spider-Man: No Way Home and are dating in real life, are frequently targeted by online trolls due to their height disparity. Tom and Zendaya appeared on Friday alongside their costar Jacob Batalon to discuss the “ridiculous” social expectations surrounding their height disparity.

Tom, who stands 5 feet 8 inches tall, and Zendaya, who stands 5 feet 10 inches tall, spoke with Jessica Shaw on SiriusXM Town Hall. “Actually Tom, I wanted to question you guys because in the first, in Far From Home, when MJ (played by Zendaya) and Peter Parker (played by Tom) kiss and Zendaya is taller than Tom, and it became this, this thing,” Jessica said to the couple.

“Not that much taller,” Tom added in between. Let’s just put it out there, shall we? At most, it’ll be an inch or two. It’s not like people ask, “How did you and your partner kiss?” ‘It had to be extremely difficult.’ “That’s not what I’m saying,” Jessica remarked, interrupting him. What I mean is that I’m constantly interested in this since it’s such a sexist phenomenon. “Like, ‘Oh my god, this is so difficult.'”

Zendaya agreed that the mentality was “messed up.” “Yeah, this is usual as well,” she added. “Yeah, that’s a ridiculous assumption,” Tom said. “My mother is taller than my father,” Zendaya continued. My mother is the tallest person in the room.” “When we were completing the Spider-Man screen testing, I recall… You’d have to ask [director] Jon Watts, but every girl we tried for both roles was taller than I was, “Tom said. “I’m not sure if that was a decision Jon made.” There was no one who was shorter than me who took the test. To be honest, I am fairly small, so perhaps Jon Watts made that decision because he was aware of the stereotype and wanted to break it. He continued, “I think it’s fantastic.”

On Graham Norton’s chat show, the couple had previously joked about their height disparity. Because of their height disparity, Zendaya’s feet used to land ahead of Tom’s during the shooting. “There’s a manoeuvre when Spider-Man swings us on top of a bridge and places me there,” she explained. He’s meant to walk away from MJ after gently resting her on the bridge. We were attached because of our height difference, so I would land first. My feet clearly touch the ground before his.”

In July, Tom and Zendaya were seen kissing in a car, confirming their relationship rumours. The couple will be seen in Spider-Man: No Way Home, which will be released on December 16 in India and December 17 in the United States.
