The model/actor has gushed about Priyanka Chopra since winning, describing her as an inspiration.Harnaaz even mentioned in a recent interview that she would like to star in a biopic based on the life of Desi Girl because she has inspired her throughout her career.
Harnaaz was flooded with love and wishes after winning the competition, with former Miss World PeeCee, as well as former Miss Universes Sushmita Sen and Lara Dutta, congratulating her. In a recent interview with Bollywood Hungama, Miss Universe 2021 winner Harnaaz Sandhu was asked about a renowned figure whose biopic she would love to work on, and she proudly said, “Priyanka Chopra.” I’d be thrilled to be a part of it. I believe she has inspired me throughout her path, and I believe she will continue to inspire millions of people.”
When Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned Miss Diva 2021, she spoke about her admiration for The Matrix Resurrections star Priyanka Chopra and revealed why she admires her. She told Rediff, “Priyanka Chopra has been my biggest inspiration.She has established her own brand and has represented India not only in beauty pageants, but also in acting and music. She has brought glory to India, and I hope to follow in her footsteps and bring glory back to India in the same way she did.”
PeeCee congratulated Sandhu on her Miss Universe 2021 triumph on Twitter, writing, “And the new Miss Universe is… India is a beautiful country. @HarnaazSandhu03, congrats on bringing the championship home after 21 years!” Meanwhile, the beauty contest’s host, Steve Harvey, instructed Harnaaz Sandhu to resemble a cat on stage, which did not go over well with the internet. When asked about the backlash, the model/actor told India Today, “I am delighted that Steve, such a spontaneous and amazing personality (one of my favourite personalities as well) asked me such a question that I could be myself on the stage and I got to demonstrate one of my major talents.”
