Farhan Akhtar began his career in Bollywood as an assistant director in Lamhe, the son of lyricist and poet Javed Akhtar and Honey Irani (1991). In 2001, he made his directorial debut with the film Dil Chahta Hai. To date, Akhtar has been in a lot of notable films and is well-known for his acting. 1. The Sky is Pink

The film, directed by Shonali Bose, is based on the true tale of Aisha Chaudhary (Zaira Wasim), who died at the age of 18 from severe combined immunodeficiency, which she had since birth. Her parents role were played by Farhan Akhtar and Priyanka Chopra. The story follows their challenges as they deal with Aisha’s health issues.
2. Bhaag Milkha Bhaag
Farhan Akhtar plays Milkha Singh, a great Indian track and field sprinter, in this biographical sports movie. He earned a Filmfare Award, among other accolades, and the film was nominated for two National Film Awards.

3. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara
The Zoya Akhtar-directed ensemble picture follows three friends, Arjun (Hrithik Roshan), Kabir (Abhay Deol), and Imran (Farhan Akhtar), as they embark on a road journey across Spain before one of them vows to marriage. Akhtar earned a number of prizes for Best Supporting Actor, including a Filmfare Award.
4. Luck By Chance
In her critically praised directorial debut, Luck By Chance, Farhan Akhtar’s sister, filmmaker Zoya Akhtar, offered him his first leading role. The film, which also stars Hrithik Roshan and Konkona Sen Sharma, is about a struggling actor’s quest to become a movie star and the ramifications of fame.
5. Rock On!!
Farhan Akhtar made his acting debut in Abhishek Kapoor’s Rock On!!, for which he received a Filmfare Award and other accolades. The plot centres around members of the defunct band Magik who decide to put their differences aside and reunite for a music competition. The musical drama provided some of the best tunes to groove to, and it is still regarded as one of the actor’s best efforts.
