Shivade was being treated by clinical haematologist Dr. Sameer Melinkeri, according to a spokesman of the private hospital in Pune where Shrikant was receiving therapy. His mother, wife, and two children are his only survivors. Shrikant was a law graduate of the Indian Law Society for the uninitiated.
