Known for being ‘politically incorrect’ and being straightforward, Kangana Ranaut has again raised several eyebrows with her Instagram story calling Deepika Padukone’s recent OTT release ‘Gehraiyaan’, trash. The film is getting mixed reviews from critics and audiences but then Deepika Padukone is being praised for her performance. Taking it to her Instagram handle, the Manikarnika actress shared her review regarding Gehraiyaan. In a cryptic post, Kangana wrote “I am also a millennial but I identify and understand this kind of romance…in the name of millennial/new age/urban movies don’t sell trash pls…bad movies are bad movies no amount of skin show or pornography can save it …it’s a basic fact koi gehraiyaan wali baat nahi hai.”
The 34-year-old actress also shared a video clip of a song from Himalay Ki God Mein (1965). The film, a love triangle like Gehraiyaan, starred Manoj Kumar, Mala Sinha and Shashikala. Kangana, recently, during a media interaction also lashed out at a journalist who asked for her opinion on on the controversy where a social media influencer had commented on Deepika and Ananya’s clothes.
Not only this, but Kangana Ranaut also took a dig at the promotional strategy adopted by the team of ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. There has been a video going viral all over social media in which a very young girl is seen mimicking one of the dialogues of upcoming Alia Bhatt’s starer. Questioning the video, Kangana wrote, “Government should take action against all the parents who are sexualizing underage children for money to promote biopic of a famous prostitute and pimp who supplied girls to former Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and rose to power…request @SMRITIIRANIOFFICIALJI Minister of Women and Child development, please look into it”.
