After the massive success of ‘KGF: Chapter 2’, fans are now waiting for the film’s third installment. A few days back, Vijay Kirangandur, KGF producer, made everyone excited after announcing the upcoming third part of KGF. But now, executive producer Karthik Gowda has shared a conflicting statement on ‘KGF: Chapter 3’. ‘
There were rumors that the makers had started working on the third part. The film’s leading man, Yash, added fuel by saying that he and director Prashant Neel have already discussed the next part of the film and even have a few scenes and sequences in mind for storyboarding. Even last week, speaking on a Public TV channel, the franchise’s executive producer Karthik Gowda confirmed that pre-production work on the third part has begun.
But now, Karthik Gowda shared an official statement on Twitter, leaving the fans heartbroken. He tweeted, “The news doing the rounds is all speculation on Saturday night. With many exciting projects ahead of us, we @hombalefilms will not be starting #KGF3 anytime soon. We will let you know with a bang when we start working towards it.”
Just a day before, on Friday, Vijay Kiragandur said to a media news agency that after the completion of the shoot of director Prashant Neel’s Salaar, they would begin the shoot for KGF after October this year. He also said they are planning to release the third part of KGF by 2024.
Yash starrer KGF: Chapter 2 traces the life of Rocky after he captures the Kolar Gold Fields. The film features Yash, Srinidhi Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, and Malavika Avinash in lead roles.
