According to early estimates, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 was collected in the region of Rs. 18.25 to 20.25 crores on the second day, bringing the two-day total to an increase of Rs. 32 crores. On the second day, there has been a consistent increase of roughly 35 to 40%, indicating audience acceptance.
Surprisingly, Bombay town has pushed collecting to the next level, with concerts from Saturday evening onwards running at occupancy rates as high as 70%, one of the highest in the pandemic’s history. The increase in collections on Saturday will be reinforced by an increase tomorrow since we estimate the business to rise by at least 25% on Sunday. This would imply a fantastic opening weekend of roughly Rs. 57 crore.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2 is a success, and it remains to be seen whether this Anees Bazmee-directed comedy will become a superhit or a blockbuster in the long run. It will have the highest opening weekend total for a Kartik Aaryan film, as well as one of the highest for the starring heroine, Kiara Advani. The weekend will be similar to Kiara’s 2019 comedy, Good News.
The reception from both the crowd and the critics has been positive, and the trend in collections on Saturday reflects this. The public was looking for out-and-out entertainment from Bollywood, and it is this film that has brought them back in large numbers.
