Actress Priyanka Chopra has launched her latest business venture, a homeware line known as Sona Home, to encourage Indian culture in America. Sharing a video with her co-founder Maneesh Goyal, Priyanka announced the launch day and shared how happy she was with this. The Bollywood actress said she tried to bring Indian culture to the US houses with the launch of Sona Home. She also talked about how tough it was to make the United States her second home after being there for work and then getting married to Nick Jonas.
The video shared by PeeCee shows her in two different elegant looks while she talks about Indians’ reliance on bringing everyone together. She then links it with her newly launched brand Sona Home which works on the same belief and converts a house into a home. It also aims at bringing friends and family together as a group. She further says that being an immigrant in New York, adding her culture into her work is necessary, and she hopes that via her brand, India’s heritage is reached in every house in the country. Priyanka also, through the video, displayed a few pieces of her homeware line with Maneesh Goyal.
In her Instagram post, the actress penned a long note that says, “Launch day is here! I couldn’t be more proud to introduce you all to SONA HOME. It was challenging to come from India and make America my second home, but my journey led me to a place where I found a second family and friends. I bring a piece of India into everything I do and this is an extension of that thought. It’s awesome to be working alongside @maneeshkgoyal and our entire team in creating something so dear to our hearts and heritage.”
Sona Home, a 45-piece tableware line, consists of everything from bar accessories to dinnerware to fabrics. The decor section is influenced by sumptuous India, such as inspired by Jaipur’s gemstone, they selected the emerald and white color scheme, and the Rajasthan’s gilded palaces influenced to select the geometric patterns on the textiles. The business venture is not the first project of Priyanka Chopra. She runs an Indian restaurant, Sona, in New York. By bringing the dating app Bumble to India, she became a tech investor and recently launched her hair care brand, Anomaly Haircare. She also runs a production house with her mom that backs regional cinema called Purple Pebble Pictures.
