Born and brought up in a middle-class family, Pragati lost her father at the tender age of 12. This tragic incident left a deep impact on her life, but she decided to not let it hold her back. Instead, she became self-independent at an early age by teaching dance to children in her locality. Her hard work and dedication helped her to earn a decent income. She continued to pursue her studies after completing her schooling, Pragati did her bachelor’s in Medical Science (B.sc.) from Bundelkhand University, Jhansi. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in yoga on the subject ‘effect of yogic practices and diet on ischemic heart disease’.

Her passion for yoga developed during her college days when she started practising it as a form of exercise. However, she soon realized that yoga was more than just a physical activity. It had the power to heal and transform lives, thus, she decided to delve deeper into it and to explores the field of yoga and naturopathy deeply. She completed her Master’s degree in Yoga and Naturopathy with Hospitality and enhanced her deepening understanding of these ancient practices by researching more about them.

Her classes soon became popular, and she started getting recognition for her unique style of teaching. Her dedication and hard work led to her being noticed by Svasya (Swami Vivekananda Yoga Anusandhan Sansthan), a renowned centre for research and development in the field of yoga and naturopathy. Pragati worked with Svasya as a research scholar and explored the benefits of yoga and its impact on physical and mental health.

While sharing her life experience she said, “Life is a journey that can be full of hardships and setbacks, but it’s up to us to choose how we respond to them. With perseverance, determination, and a positive attitude, we can overcome any obstacle and achieve our dreams.” Adding to this she said, “Yoga is not just a physical practice, it is a way of life. It is about cultivating a deeper connection with oneself, with others, and with the world around us. The beauty of yoga is that it is accessible to everyone, regardless of age, fitness level, or background. My hope is to inspire and empower others to discover the magic of yoga and to live their lives with more peace, joy, and purpose.”

Pragati’s constant efforts and hard work paid off, and she won many prestigious awards for her contribution to the field of yoga. At the International Yogini Award Ceremony, she was awarded with prestigious ‘State Yogini Award 2023’.
