Akshay ‘Khiladi’ Kumar’s much-hyped Sooryavanshi finally got a release date after getting postponed several times due to the closure of theatres as Covid protocol was in place. The film was released in theatres for the movie watchers on November 5, the following day after Diwali. The movie opened to a bumper response from the public at the Box Office and grossed a whopping 77. 08 crores on the first weekend. The film managed to keep the face going for almost about 3 weeks and is now inching towards 200 crores. Sooryavanshi has Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif as the lead pair also has Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh in the cameo roles. Directed by Rohit Shetty, the movie till now, has managed to collect ₹ 182.18 cr at the Box Office and is likely to make it to the list of ‘Highest Grossing Indian Movies.’

  1. Dangal (2016) – 387 Crores

 

Based on the life of the wrestler, Mahavir Singh Phogat, and her daughters, the film went on to shatter all the records at the Box- Office. The Aamir Khan starrer collected ₹ 387 Crores at the Indian Box Office. The film was also appreciated by critics and till now, is the Highest Grossing Indian Film if the worldwide collections are to be included. The worldwide collection of Dangal stands at ₹  2122.3 Crores and the movie was widely liked by the Chinese audience. Dangal was declared All Time Blockbuster at the Box Office. 

 

  1. Sanju (2018) – 342.53 Crores

 

The biopic based on Sanjay Dutt’s life stands third in the list of 5 Highest Grossing Indian Movies. Ranbir Kapoor brilliantly played the role of our beloved Sanju Baba and the movie went on to collect ₹ 342.53 Crores at the domestic Box Office. The film was also the highest grosser of the year 2018. The two major reasons behind the success of the film were Rajkumar Hirani’s way of storytelling and Ranbir Kapoor’s flawless performance. Along with getting his looks right, the actor managed to perfect his body language and the audience loved it.

 

  1. PK (2014) – 340.8 Crores

 

When it comes to the so-called 300 Club, there is no match for Mr. Perfectionist. Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer PK, despite all the controversy around the film, managed to collect a whopping 340.8 Crores as the Nett lifetime collection. Also with PK, Rajkumar Hirani again proved his mettle. It is a known secret that Aamir has a massive fan following outside India as well and this is the reason why PK earned 769.89 at the Worldwide level.

 

  1. Tiger Zinda Hai (2017) – 339.16 Crores

 

When there is a talk about Box Office numbers, how can The Bhaijaan of Bollywood be left behind? Tiger Zinda Hai, directed by Ali Abbas Zafar, featuring Salman Khan managed to garner 339.16 Crores at the domestic Box Office. The film did exceptionally well in all the major business circuits. The film was a sequel to the movie Ek Tha Tiger and picks off right from where the first part ended. The action- thriller also did pretty well when it comes to worldwide collections as it collected 564.2 crores globally. Salman proved that when it comes to being a mass megastar, he is the only one.
