A contestant presented a gift for Amitabh Bachchan’s granddaughter Aaradhya on Wednesday’s episode of Kaun Banega Crorepati 13. He took the present and expressed his delight that Aaradhya would be overjoyed.
Varnika, who claimed to be an author, grabbed a copy of her science fiction novel Claira Jackson from her bag and offered it to Amitabh as a gift for Aaradhya. Abhishek Bachchan and Aishwarya Rai celebrated their 10-year-old daughter Aaradhya’s birthday in the Maldives last month. Varnika’s action impressed Amitabh, who assured her that he would give the book to Aaradhya: “Mein unhe dunga… wo bahut khush hongi (I will give this to her. She will be very happy).”
Varnika claimed on KBC 13 that she has been named the ‘World’s Youngest Science Fiction Author’ for her self-published science fiction writings. She also took out a copy of her book, which she had Amitabh sign. This Friday, KBC will run a special episode to commemorate the show’s 1,000th episode. On the red carpet, Amitabh will be joined by his daughter Shweta Bachchan and granddaughter Navya Naveli Nanda. Jaya Bachchan will also participate through video calls for a short time.
Sony Entertainment Television has released a hilarious promo for the upcoming episode, which features Jaya complaining about Amitabh not returning her calls while he makes excuses about poor connectivity. “Internet agar gadbad hai toh hum kya kare bhai (What can I do if the internet fluctuates)?”Amitabh explains. Shweta quickly calls him out, claiming that he is constantly online: “Social media pe photo lagayenge, tweet karenge (He would share photos on social media, tweet from his account).”
Except for one season, which was hosted by Shah Rukh Khan, Amitabh Bachchan has hosted every season of Kaun Banega Crorepati. The quiz show has become synonymous with the actor.
