Priyanka Chopra has criticised a news outlet for referring to her as Nick Jonas’ wife. The actor took to Instagram Stories to post images of the content and question if she should include a link to her IMDb page in her bio. She also wanted to know how this could still happen to women.
“The wife of Nick Jonas shared…” read the text of Priyanka Chopra’s screenshot. It reported her talking about her The Matrix Resurrections co-star Keanu Reeves on Good Morning America.
“Very fascinating that I’m promoting one of the most legendary film franchises of all time, yet I’m still referred to as ‘the wife of…’,” Priyanka added. She also said, pointing to another part of the same paragraph, “Please explain why this still occurs in the case of women. Should I include a link to my IMDb page in my bio?” In her message, Priyanka also mentioned her husband, singer Nick Jonas.
This week, Priyanka has been promoting the film and talking about it with Nick on a variety of channels. Priyanka recently stated that Nick was a fan of the film franchise on the 100th episode of Jada Pinkett Smith’s Red Table Talk. She also revealed that he had boasted to his admirers about Priyanka’s involvement in the project.
She’d stated, “He’s a big Matrix fan, so I’m sure he was ecstatic when I was cast in the film. He may or may not have been giddy with excitement when he told a couple of his admirers that I was going to be in the next one. Yeah.”
