Harnaaz Sandhu made India proud by winning Miss Universe this year. She now appears to be on her way to making her Bollywood debut.
Sushmita Sen won the Miss Universe title in 1994. Lara Dutta later brought the crown to India in 2000, and Harnaaz Sandhu has now won the title of Miss Universe for India after 21 years. Sushmita and Lara entered the Bollywood film industry after winning Miss Universe. Is Harnaaz going to follow in their footsteps? Given that she is already an actor and has been performing in theatre for the past five years, it appears that the current Miss Universe will make her Bollywood debut.
Harnaaz said to E-Times when asked about her aspirations to enter Bollywood, “I have no idea what would happen because I am not a person who thinks ahead. But if given the chance, I’d love to be a part of it since it’s always been a goal of mine. I’m a professional actress who has worked in the theatre for the past five years. I want to influence people and break misconceptions about what women are and can be, and I believe that acting can help me achieve that goal. Because people are so scared and persuaded by movies nowadays. That is how I can influence and inspire people by following my passion and simply giving my best for society.”
“Given the chance, I am delighted to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali,” Harnaaz stated when asked which actor or director she would like to make her Bollywood debut with. I admire his method of working, as well as the quality, art, feeling, and depth of each and every aspect in his films and work. As I’ve already stated, I have a great deal of respect and admiration for Shah Rukh Khan. I believe the amount of hard work he has done and continues to do is never enough. But he’s always kept grounded, and he’s always been successful. And the way he talks in every interview has really encouraged me, that it’s all about your mindset that gets you where you want to go. She went on to say, “He is a fantastic artist and a wonderful human being.”
