With a special Christmas card featuring their daughter Lilibet and son Archie, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry wished everyone a happy holiday season.
On their official Christmas card, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry unveiled the first portrait of their six-month-old baby, Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana. Archie Harrison, the couple’s two-year-old son, was also included in the photo. Meghan is seen playing with Lilibet while holding her up in the air, as Harry sits next to them and looks affectionately at them in the photo. Archie sat on his lap with his father’s red hair. Alexi Lubomirski, who also photographed Meghan and Harry’s wedding, took the family portrait over the summer at Meghan and Harry’s residence in Santa Barbara, California. “This is one of those rare and special projects that one is fortunate enough to be a part of,” Alexi captioned the photo on Instagram. It’s been a wonderful honour to be able to continue the journey of this family, whom I originally photographed as an engaged couple, then on their wedding day, as a married couple, and now witnessing their love blossom into two beautiful children.”
Meghan and Harry also sent a greeting through their Archewell Foundation, according to Good Morning America: “This year, 2021, we welcomed our daughter, Lilibet, into the world.” Archie and Lili gave us a ‘Mama’ and a ‘Papa,’ and together they formed a family.” Paid Leave for All, Marshall Plan for Moms, Team Rubicon, and Human First Coalition are among the organisations to which the couple has contributed. Lilibet, Meghan and Harry’s second child, was born in June. Her first name is a play on her great-nickname, grandmother’s Queen Elizabeth II. Her middle name honours her grandmother, who also happens to be Harry’s mother. Meghan and Harry discussed their choice to leave Buckingham Palace in an interview with Oprah Winfrey earlier this year. She claimed she was suicidal with her first pregnancy and sought help from the palace, but she was not protected.
