Salman Khan’s Hit-and-Run Lawyer Passes Away
Shrikant Shivade, the criminal lawyer best known for defending star Salman Khan’s most infamous and high-profile hit-and-run case, died at the age of 67 following a battle with blood cancer. During the year 2009, the criminal lawyer also represented actress Shiney Ahuja, who was convicted by the Mumbai police in a rape case.

The tragic news of Salman Khan’s lawyer Shrikant Shivade’s death came as a shock today (19 January). This shocking news was revealed to Zeenews by one of the subordinates working under counsel Shrikant Shivade. According to the juniors, the lawyer was diagnosed with leukaemia (blood cancer) and was getting treatment. The criminal lawyer, however, succumbed to the terrible sickness and died today (19 January) in a private hospital in Pune.
Shivade was being treated by clinical haematologist Dr. Sameer Melinkeri, according to a spokesman of the private hospital in Pune where Shrikant was receiving therapy. His mother, wife, and two children are his only survivors. Shrikant was a law graduate of the Indian Law Society for the uninitiated. The criminal advocate is well-known for handling high-profile cases such as those involving Bollywood actors Salman Khan (hit and run) and Shiney Ahuja (rape), as well as the infamous 2G scam, Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Purohit in the Malegaon bomb blast case, former Mumbai police chief RD Tyagi in the Suleman bakery shooting, Deepak Kulkarni in a fraud case, the Sheena Bora case, and many others!
