In a groundbreaking move, India’s leading Hindi General Entertainment Channel, COLORS, has acquired the rights to one of the world’s largest and most unique quiz shows, BYJU’S presents ‘The Big Picture.’
In a strategic coup, the channel has signed Bollywood star Ranveer Singh, who will make his television debut as the host. Ranveer Singh, an award-winning actor and youth icon, has an enviable fan base among the country’s youth.
The first look at the show starring the actor will be unveiled tonight at 6:45 p.m. on COLORS.
Speaking about his television debut, Ranveer Singh said, “In my journey as an artiste, the urge to experiment and explore has been constant. Moving forward in time and recognising the power of the visual medium as the evolved language of the new age India, the channel, in collaboration with Banijay Asia and ITV Studios Global Entertainment B.V., adds another one-of-a-kind show to its lineup. ‘The Big Picture,’ which will provide entertainment to the digital audience, will also be available on Voot and Jio TV.
After becoming a global phenomenon and being hailed as the next generation quiz show, ‘The Big Picture’ will be a first-of-its-kind property showcasing an exceptional blend of knowledge and visual memory. With the nation’s favourite star Ranveer Singh at the helm, this engaging content proposition will redefine the concept of game shows in India and give the audience the chance to win a fortune. The contestants will be required to correctly answer twelve visual-based questions with the assistance of three lifelines in order to win the grand prize money.
