Alia Bhatt went to Delhi for Brahmastra, got herself tested before departing, says BMC official.

 

Alia Bhatt did not violate Covid-19 guidelines when travelling to Delhi, according to a BMC official.

 Following the positive testing of several Bollywood celebs for Covid-19, there was conjecture that Alia Bhatt, who travelled from Mumbai to Delhi, may have broken quarantine laws. A senior Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) official has now stated that if she received a negative test report when travelling, she had not broken any quarantine laws.

Alia was tested for the virus before leaving Mumbai and was found to be negative, according to PTI. A BMC official stated on Thursday that if Alia had a negative test report when travelling to Delhi for the promotion of her film Brahmastra, no quarantine laws were broken. “No action is necessary if she went with a negative COVID-19 report,” the source said.

After attending a meal at producer-director Karan Johar’s home earlier this week, stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Amrita Arora tested positive for COVID-19.

 

Kareena revealed her Covid-19 diagnosis on Monday and expressed her hope to be back on her feet soon. She shared her thoughts on Instagram Stories., “I have tested positive for Covid. I immediately isolated myself while following all medical protocols. I request anyone who has come in contact with me to please get tested. My family and staff are also double vaccinated. They are currently not showing any symptoms. Thankfully, I am feeling ok and hope to be up and about soon.”

 

Sanjay Kapoor’s wife Maheep Kapoor and their daughter Shanaya Kapoor tested positive for Covid-19 after Kareena and Amrita Kapoor. Seema Khan, Sohail Khan’s wife, and their 10-year-old son both tested positive.Karan, who had a party at his home before the celebs tested positive, issued a statement on Wednesday explaining that it wasn’t a ‘party,’ but rather a ‘intimate meeting’ of eight people.
