Last September, the immersive free-to-play massively multiplayer (MMO) game was published in China’s Mainland and Hong Kong, and it will be distributed globally this year.
On Thursday, Warner Bros. Games and NetEase announced that Harry Potter: Magic Awakened, a new mobile game for iOS and Android devices, will be released worldwide this year.
‘Harry Potter: Magic Awakened’ mobile
The immersive free-to-play massively multiplayer (MMO) game is the latest product under Portkey Games, a label dedicated to games inspired by J.K. Rowling’s wizarding universe. In September of last year, the game was released in the Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan territories. The story begins with the players as young witches and wizards who have recently gotten acceptance letters to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Through increasingly difficult trials, they will gain the magical knowledge needed to cast spells and duel other players.

Players from the Americas, Europe, and Oceania can pre-register for the game on Google Play or the official website to gain special bonuses when it launches.
