However, it appears that this has supplied material for certain portals to let their imaginations go wild and quote the actor on false claims. Late Friday night, January 26th, a rumour from media portal IndiaGlitz began circulating claiming Akkineni Nagarjuna had hinted at the reason behind Naga Chaitanya and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s bitter split. However, although the superstar himself explicitly denied it, it has now been revealed that these reports were utterly uncorroborated.
“The story in social media and electronic media quoting my statement on Samantha and Naga Chaitanya is absolutely untrue and absolute garbage!!” Nagarjuna posted on his official Twitter account. I respectfully request that my media friends refrain from reporting rumours as news. #GiveNewsNotRumours.” We don’t know what more to say if this remark straight from the horse’s mouth leaves no space for doubt about the false allegations.
Earlier, IndiaGlitz cited the legendary Telugu actor as stating that while he respected Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s decision, he was concerned about his father’s reaction and the impact on the family’s reputation, adding that his son consoled him much. According to the article, Nagarjuna Akkineni claimed that the pair had been married for four years and had never had an issue of this scale until they celebrated the New Year together.
