V from BTS will sing the OST for upcoming romance drama Our Beloved Summer
V, a member of the South Korean boy band BTS, has released a new OST (Kim Taehyung). After crooning ‘Sweet Night’ for his close friend Park Seo Joon’s Itaewon Class series last year, he’s back in the drama theme song game, this time for his other close friend Choi Woo Shik. He will act with Itaewon Class breakout star Kim Da Mi in the forthcoming romance drama Our Beloved Summer.
Music director Nam Hye Seung, who has previously worked on successful OSTs such as Goblin, It’s Okay to Not Be Okay, Crash Landing on You, and others, is producing the Original Soundtrack for the next drama. Since the song’s conception, the music director has apparently kept V in mind while working on it. The song will emphasise V’s warm tone and will play an important role in the drama.
On November 25, 2021, a new teaser for Our Beloved Summer was released. The plot revolves around two high school sweethearts. When a ten-year-old documentary about high school sweethearts goes viral, the two ex-lovers find themselves thrust back into each other’s lives. It’s a hesitant reunion, but standing in front of the camera for the first time in a long time might just revive feelings that were supposed to be forever lost.
Choi Woo Shik will reunite with Kim Da Mi for the second time after starring together in the film “The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion,” which is one of the key reasons why fans are looking forward to the upcoming drama. “Actress Kim Da Mi is a person who does not falsify her acting,” Choi Woo Shik said. She’s a dedicated performer who doesn’t rely on shortcuts to get by, and she works tirelessly and thoroughly on every role she takes on.”
Kim Da Mi remarked, “I also felt this through the film ‘The Witch: Part 1. The Subversion,’ but I get the feeling that Choi Woo Shik has fun acting on set. When I see him acting comfortably while playing and enjoying himself in a way that’s true to his character’s nature, it feels as if he’s come to the set as that character. This is why I often feel like he’s amazing.”
