Vincent D’Onofrio’s portrayal of Marvel’s Kingpin is one of the meanest, baddest villains in recent memory. Most fans connect Vincent’s face with the character rather than himself, thanks to his outstanding portrayal. So seeing him enthusiastically dancing in a field to a Hindi song may come as a surprise to many.
Vincent D’Onofrio recreated Sanjay Dutt’s performance in a song Maaf Karo
Vincent, dressed in a red blazer and a cowboy hat, can be seen dancing in a field to Sanjay Dutt’s song Maaf Karo in a YouTube video from 2015. Vincent D’Onofrio follows the Bollywood vibe and it can be clearly seen in a video in which the actor not only dances but also lip-syncs to the Hindi lyrics almost flawlessly.

In the second video, posted by Vidhu’s production house, Vincent is seen rehearsing his lines and moves for the dance. Vidhu then says, “The big surprise was at the wrap party when they started to play a video on the television. It took me some time to figure out that these guys were performing to my music from Bollywood films.” Maaf Karo is from Vidhu’s 2000 film Mission Kashmir and was picturized on Sanjay Dutt. The film also starred Hrithik Roshan.
Vincent featured in Vidhu Vinod Chopra’s Hollywood film Broken Horses seven years ago in this video. Director Vidhu revealed the history of the video in a separate BTS video from the set of the film. He disclosed that the film’s actors and crew prepared a video introducing themselves using music from his previous films. This medley included Vincent’s ‘performance.’
The Hollywood film Broken Horses is a remake of the director’s 1989 Hindi film Parinda. Nana Patekar portrayed Vincent in the Hindi version of Broken Horses. In 1987, Vincent D’Onofrio rose to popularity with a supporting part in the critically acclaimed war film Full Metal Jacket. He went on to appear in films such as Jurassic World and Men In Black, as well as the television series Criminal Intent. He originally appeared in the Netflix series Daredevil as Marvel villain Kingpin aka Wilson Fisk, before making his debut appearance in the MCU as the same character in the Disney+ series Hawkeye.
