Netflix recently launched a teaser for the movie, that beautifully portrays the sacrifices made and also works as an eye-opener for the Indian Cricket Team. Anushka Sharma finally decided to return to the big screen after almost a break of 3 years. She was last seen in the movie ZERO, starring Katrina Kaif and Shahrukh Khan. Actor and director Farhan Akhtar on his Twitter account wrote, “Super stuff.. looking forward to it. All the best @AnushkaSharma & team #ChakdaXpress.” Taapsee Pannu, who will play Jhulan’s teammate Mithali Raj in an unrelated film, took to Instagram Stories and wrote, “From Mithali to Jhulan! Go for it sister.” She added, “Time for Women in blue. Go for it Chakda Express!”

While talking about the Movie, Anushka told that this movie is really close to her heart and also proves out to be really special as it not only inspires the citizens of the country but also talks about woman empowerment to a lot of extents.

She also added “As a cricketing nation, we have to give our women cricketers their due. Jhulan’s story is truly an underdog story in the history of cricket in India and the film is our celebration of her spirit.”

The film though faced a lot of criticism as well. While some fans were elated to see her in front of the camera after four years, her Bengali accent and bronzed face drew some criticism.
